I'm using 8700V on Vodafone UK. Some weeks ago it was not possible to download googletalk if you were in the UK. It is suddenly now possible and i've installed it but when i try and sign in it says 'invalid user name or password'. I know I entered this correctly.

I also downloaded Yahoo and that works fine. The RIM support people tell me that Google Talk is not supported in the UK. Can anyone tell me why and does anyone have any idea when or if it will be ?

I am on Vodafone and get the message "Handheld does not have the required service books." I am told that Vodafone do not currently support Google Talk and have no date when they will start.
