Default Free/cheap quasi-real time stock program?

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry if this has been discussed. I searched but found only answers that were close to what I am looking for but not quite there.

I'm looking for a basic blackberry application for an 8700g that would give me real time (or 20 minute delayed) stock quotes for a couple of portfolios. It would be great if it could allow me to enter the number of shares owned and price paid and tracked the value of the portfolio as a whole but I could live with a basic quote summary (current price and gain/loss relative to prior day close). So far, all I found in searches were expensive pro-level apps ($20 /month +) and things like BBToday which integrate too many functions that I don't need. I just want a basic app that is free or cheap for stock quotes only (no appointments, reminders, weather, etc...). Anyone have any suggestion? I can't imagine this doesn't exist since all the web portals (yahoo, google, etc...) provide this information for free.

I use Opera Mini and for a quick look at charts I have bookmarked

http://www.bigcharts.com/palm/bigcharts.asp

also, goto google and just use the stock symbol as the search term, the first thing google displays is 20 min delayed quote, chart and a real-time ECN quote.

I havent found any apps that do it for free yet

I THINK PocketDay (Professional Version, I believe) will do the trick.

PocketDay, which is only free during the 30 day trial, isn't real-time either. Accept it as a given that no free service (including a free service through a paid software package) will be real-time. There is always a 15-20 minute delay. If you want true real-time, it will be on a subscription basis.

If you need real-time quotes, try QuoteStream.

(There is a monthly fee: $9.95 per month.)
