Exclamation GOOGLE TALK PROBLEM (not USA)

Please Login to Remove!

after reading many posts and experiencing problems with google talk (specifically accounts which are [email address]) i think its time to give blackberry a wake up call.

Blackberry indicate on there website http://mobile.blackberry.com under Whats New "Google Talk for Blackberry devices, now available worldwide".

yes it is available worldwide to download but with obvious login errors if you do not have a [email address] account.

so....what to do, please send your emails to [email address] and hopefully with the number of complaints there'll be a "Europe" release or patch on the way.

thx

Unfortunately, I think this is a UK 'thing' only. Register outside the UK and you geta gmail address. If i recall it was a legal issue that made Google change things in the UK. Still, it ought to be fixed anyway!

yes wibbly you right, it was a legal issue about a uk company that had the gmail.com registered before google. hopefully the "politics" will get sorted on paper and software.

... means you need to find a non-UK ISP.

If you have a laptop with Wifi, I *think* T-Mobile HotSpots in the UK appear to connect from Germany

Hi G1no how are you good weekend? What are you using Google talk for? is it a ISP connection or a form of IM software?

Correct. I think it's a bug in the Google Talk BB implementation (either the software, service book, or RIM relay, I don't know which). To get the BB Google Talk client working, you need today to do it wth a gmail.com address. I set up a new one just to do this (use the GT BB client)!

Even if he could connect, it wouldn't work, cause in Germany there is the same legal issue. Since a court decision only @googlemail.com addresses are issued.
