Default Voice Recording on an 8700...

Please Login to Remove!

Afternoon Chaps,

Wondered if any of you wonderful people know of an aftermarket application that can help me with a project I’m working on….?? What I’m looking for is a BB version of something like an MP3 player or Windows Media Player….what I’m trying to achieve is I’d like to offer some of my clients the ability to record notes onto their BB (in many ways like a Dictaphone) and then save the recording as an electronic file which, with a few clicks of the trackwheel, could forward the file through BES and Exchange to a central point where it can be processed or saved….does anyone know of such a bit of wizardry…??

p.s. – I’m a newbie and very impressed with the site…

I am not aware of any voice recorders for the BB. Even the newest BB (8700) only has 64MB of memory. It can't hold that much stuff....

Check out VoiceControl.

You should be able to accomplish your mission somewhat... it won't be a recording of the dictation but they can voice command a new email and you'll always have the transcriopt as record.

BTW.. it has the BB 8700 listed on the home page... but then goes on to list iDen as a system req. (Sprint/Nextel) so this may not work
