Yep. midpssh is the free SSH utility available for BlackBerry.

If you need something mission critical, I highly recommend Idokorro MobileSSH (Idokorro is a sponsor of BlackBerryForums). At least, give MobileSSH free trial a try, downloadable over the air by entering http://www.idokorro.com into your BlackBerry Browser.

I'd be interested to hear the differences betw. midpSSH and Idokorro.

What makes Idokorro the better choice for "Mission Critical" applications?

I have the same problem, it connects then disconnects immediately showing my byte count. I don't use ssh enough to justify the cost for idokorro, but I guess I could give the trial a shot.

Please log into the MidpSSH forum and tell the author! Without your reports he will be unable to fix any bugs..

http://www.xk72.com/midpssh/

I have it working ok on a 7280 with OS 4. There are bugs, but that's what you get for 'free'

In time it will be a reliable and well coded piece of software..
