Default Installing 3rd Party Software - How Do I?

Please Login to Remove!

I hate being a newbie (1-day old) as you ask so many stupid questions even after you do a search.

OK, finally got the BB7290 sync for the addressbook contacts.

I now think that I want to add, DynoPlex's eFile which has a pdf viewer and MS viewers.

I've downloaded the file to my laptop.
How do I get it into the BB and then what do I do?

Should I have downloaded to BB somehow?

Marvin

np... I'll try to answer your question. Open up Desktop Manager, click on application loader, then follow the wizard that pops up. Next your going to navigate to the program by clicking on the add button, then click next and the loader will add it to your BB. Thats all you need to do.

Hope that helps. :D

OK,
1) reconnect BB to PC.
2) Open desktop manager
3) Click on application loader
No software found
Click on Add button in Wizard
It is looking for *.alx, *.ali, I select show all files
File name is e_File_Installer.exe

Error is produced.
Do I first have to install this to my PC?

Solution -
1) install software to PC, BB will find it using desktop manager and install.

One step you MAY have forgotten is that when you download apps to you computer you have to unzip them and extract them to you computer, then follow steps above and go to where you saved the extracted files at and you should see the .alx files listed there.

Hope that helps!

am having a problem with installing the efile viewers. I installed efile itself successfully however when I try to install the viewers I get the following error.

Missing the following
net.rim.blackberry.api
net.rim.java.docviewer
dynoplex_efile

any ideas?

I have a Nextel Blackberry 7520

Thanks in advance

Solved my problem.

Needed to install "BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.0.0.319 " from www.blackberry.com and everything seems to work now.
