Default IM+ and battery draining - 06-10-2006, 04:30 PM

I downloaded and installed IM+ yesterday and configured it and it works great. I disconnected all my connection and it shouldnt be online, but since this program has been installed, my battery is winding down a lot faster. is this consistent with what you see if you are using IM+? is there a setting i am missing?

thanks in advance

Most likely, the reason of your problems with battery is vibration notifications. Vibration drains a battery a lot.
So we recommend to turn off vibration alerts.

thats not the case. I already sent some more info to Kate from Shape about what I am seeing. the program is just installed, no connections to the clients themselves as they are all greyed out and no vibrate function turned on. The program is just sitting there on the device. Now if i remove the software completely from my device the battery draining issue goes away completely. So it has something to do with the software itself. I am going to try to install it today with bes polling turned down to two minutes.

can you tell me if the IM messages will get pushed in real time to the device or will it be only every two minutes? whats the purpose of the bes polling setting?

thanks
