Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 7730: BlackBerry7290/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Does anyone with a 7290 have the address book integration feature working? I have a T-mobile 7290,OS4.1, no BES, and the newest (3.05-now 3.06) version of Berry411. This feature worked for me briefly with one of the 3.x betas, so if anyone has saved a copy of one of those it would help me. Thanks!

You got my hopes up for a while there, but no luck. Also I noticed that after downloading, or restarting I get a Java.lang.error before Berry411 will work at all. The wait after a restart was something like 75 seconds. It works fine after, except no address book integration.

Again, does anyone with a 7290 have this feature working?

I'm using the 3.06 version of Berry 411 on a BB 7290 through Cingular. It's on a BES with Lotus Notes and everything works fine. I'm using the latest (I think, anyway) OS from Cingular, 4.1.0.292.

Yes, I have a 7290 on TMO with BES running 4.1.0.309 and the address book function is working. I can get directions from it and set an address in berry411.

Oops! I just realized that I never did upgrade the 7290 to OS4.1 I just got it recently and upgraded it right away to what I assumed was the latest, but that must have been 4.02, just before (a week?) T-mobile released the new 4.1 OS I feel a bit daft for having that wrong, and now it seems like I have to choose between having the address book integration work and hotkeys from the home screen. Why would t-mobile remove that feature? I guess I have to decide whether the that one feature is worth losing hotkeys and spending the time on the OS upgrade. And all that is assuming that the upgrade would solve the problem. Thanks to all for your help.

So I upgraded to handheld OS 4.1 (not a simple task, I have a mac and have to wait until my boss at work is gone long enough to use his laptop)

Still wouldn't work- no address book integration, and the java.lang.error on startup. I used the search function (again!) and saw that re-installing the tasks application would remove the error. It did, and it gave me the address book functions as well. At least- I can use the functions from the address book to Berry411, but the newer Add Address and Set Current location from Berry411 results don't work- they seem to time out... But the driving directions from the address book makes all the upgrading worth it!
