Default Suggest an app, or method? - 06-22-2006, 02:02 AM

I have searched, and searched this and other web sites, but cannot find a solution to a very simple problem I have.

I do two conference calls every day, seven days a week unless i am on vacation.
I'd like to be able to set an reminder for maybe 5 or 10 minutes before each call.
Since this is an every day event, I'd prefer not to put it in my calender w/ alert, and I'd also like to be able to remove it (them) from my tasks where they currently reside.

A simple alarm app. that allows multiple instances or something similar seems logical.

I thought that i'd easily be able to find a solution to this situation, but haven't found one yet.
I am not the world's best googler, so it may be that I am searching for the wrond thing, but I doubt it. I have tried every search term I can imagine, and looked for Blackberry specific apps as well as J2ME apps, which should work, right?
I found one on a .jar related site which I won't name so I won't be taken as a troll, and it seemed to fit the bill, but when I downloaded it, it gave me an error and wouldn't launch.
Ok, enough with the explaination...
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
This is my first post, but I have already come to respect the opinions of the many knowlegeable people here... help?!?!?

What about using the daily alarm feature on the BB itself?

Well, I already use that for morning wake up, so I would have to set it to remind me of my 0900 conference call, then reset it to remind me of my 1600 conference call.

I'd like a small app that has multiple alarms or reminders. It should be some thing relatively simple... I would basically set it for 0855, and 1555 and never change it unless the conference call time is changed (which has never happened).

I'm always peripherally aware that I have the calls, but need something to remind that the call time is approaching...

Take a look at Notifier Professional. Not sure it does that. Also you might arrange to have a level 1 message sent to yourself at that time. Not sure how to do that but just brainstorming.

Default RemindMe software - 06-22-2006, 10:55 AM

Try RemindMe, it can be purchased from Handango.
You can set a reminder, make a recurrence for it.
It will do what it says, Remind you to make your call daily.
RemindMe does not put the information in your calender or your tak lists.
I use this program all the time and its great.

coach,
you get the gold star for today! RemindMe is exactly what I needed. I would have rather not paid $20 for it, but it will be a much used application, so I can't say that it's not worth it. Plus, as much trouble as i had finding anything at all, I figured I'd better go ahead and bite the bullet.

Many, many thanks to you. In retrospect, I'm sure I would have used more that $20 worth of my time trying to find a free app to do the same thing.
