Default Reqwireless, BBToday: Max Connections Opened

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

As of today I'm seeing Max Connections Opened when using Reqwireless or BBToday for the weather section.

I've tried rebooting the BB with no luck.

Anyone have similar symptons have a work around or suggestion? Thanks.

Used to happen all the time to me with BBToday ... it would show MAX CONNECTIONS OPENED on the weather screen continuously, and also on webviewer when I'd try to load a page. My only temporary solution was a hard reset ... that got tiresome, so I eventually un-installed BBToday, and webviewer's been working fine ever since.

Try the new version of BBToday (a new one came out a week ago). I think that one is more configurable.

It's linked somewhere through BlackBerry PowerToys.

Mark, I just downloaded BBToday yesterday so I do not believe that's the issue. The weather is currently broke as well as my Reqwireless browser. I cannot get past this Max Connections Open error and I'm petrified of calling customer support. I'm sure they'll tell me to remove my battery and put it back in.

The actual problem is with the Reqwireless webviewer not the BBToday program. I have been working with them to fix the problem, it has to do with hitting the escape button during transmissions that scrambles the data and confuses the program. Once this happens it mess up all programs that access the web besides your wap browser.

Ugh, I figured that BBToday integrates Reqwireless to poll the weather graphs, hence the error for both of those applications. Is there a temporary work around for this?

A soft reset is the only way at this time, but very time consuming when you're trying to look up something quickly.

I believe they need help restructuring the code in the program to accept the escape key or disable it altogether in the app. I am a programmer but I don't have time to help out really, maybe another experienced programmer can help them out with the problem.
