Default 3rd Party Apps - What do you suggest? - 06-22-2006, 11:57 PM

I just got my 8700 the other day and want to start putting some good software on it. I was wondering if you veterans could give me some suggestions of some good, free programs to use. I would especially like a good navigation program.

Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Do a quick search of the forums. There are a couple of stickys that have a ton of different programs.

Free navigation program?

The best you'll do is going to be Google Maps.

Welcome to the forum!! I'll definately second Google Maps, fantastic app. Also look for Plusmo (great RSS reader) and BBCorrector (free spell check program).

Let us not forget PocketDay. IMHO one of the best apps for the BB.

For RSS readers Newsclip is the best right now. I also like Cryptmagic for storing data, and in terms of IM see my page at my tips site. Also poick up my tips doc. Good luck.

No one suggested Berry411 yet. Well let me be the first, it's your friend when on the road.
