Sounds good. Can we assume that an updated PocketDay Professional with these features is coming?
Thanks!
EDIT: Actually, these are "pdp" files. So this is Pocketday Professional?

As always great work, thanks.

If all possible for the next upgrade, I would like to see translucent colors implemented.

Also, at the top of PDP my date and time says “Fri Jun 23, 2006 ()”. What are the parentheses for and can it be removed?

The () is a bug, we'll take care of that in the next patch. We've been thinking of allowing backgrounds. The native BB background won't show through so we have to have a way to import images to use for backgrounds.

Workin on it...

Disabling “Indent Detail Lines” pushes the view of how many items are in each section (Missed Calls, Unread Email, Tasks and Appointments) to the right

Enabling it moves them closer to the section name.

In addition to, I would like to choose what email address I use to send when I send an email to support via PocketDay – Click Trackwheel – Support. It is choosing to send an email to support using my BES ExchangeMyMail address instead of my personal address. There’s no option to select between what email address I want to use.

Installed. It's very pretty. Good stuff.

I am not having the same problem as above though...I assume you updated the file before I downloaded?

The backgrounds thing is a great idea, as I am now using PD as my home screen. (Got the pro version.)

EDIT: There's one improvement that needs to be made, if possible. PocketDay offers Speed Dial settings, but the BB natively has Speed Dial for the Phone application.

It seems rather pointless having the same feature in two different places. Is it not possible to have PD access the native Speed Dial function?

EDIT #2: Another slight annoyance is that there is no support for acessing old SMS messages under the Zen theme. I can be taken straight to the mail app, but not straight to my SMS's. This forces me to use the home screen, or now disable the Middle Convenience key.

EDIT #3: I've installed this twice now, and both times I've received an annoying "uncaught ... exception" error after selecting to reboot.

Oddly, now that we can choose not to Show Line Between Sections, I can't get it to remember to show them. I have PDP set to exit on escape and when I go back in the the lines have disappeared and the option is unchecked in Settings. It won't stay checked.
I like the new gradient colours.

I noticed the same thing. The “show line between sections” isn’t saving after exiting PDP.

The space bar does not scroll when viewing messages. The T and B (top and bottom) commands work.

SMS have never been marked as read. This is due to BB limitations. We'll check into the Hide Line setting being saved.

The uncaught exception after a reboot is an issue with the pocketday utility settings. Go into pocketday / settings / utilities, save them. then pop the battery to reboot.

I installed the new version and really like the changes. Only one thing, 4.0 made it so my convenience key opens up a selection box for the user to select a variety of programs. I have the key set to "nothing" in options and wish it to stay that way. I could not find in PD a place to turn this off. Any help would be appreciated.

Email read to be read only seems to be true, and now T and B work HOWEVER space bar or Alt-spacebar to go up and down don't appear to be working. I notice that I can choose the from email, that appear to come from my BES and BIS programed emails from the service books. I will have to test this out since I have my BIS 1.8 set to not show my Cingular address, the choice I get in pocket day is my Cingular address. So I wonder what will show in an email reply. I will have to try it out.

While I am at it - two other thoughts here

Can someone please explain the color picker? Wow is that a frustrating experience. What do the right and left side represent.

Changing Utilities - CRS please modify this so after you change a setting, you go back to the list of settings to change. It's easier to do an escpape from there, and start clicking a trackwheel to go back into the settings. Often the user will want to change more than one setting. Escpecially when they just get it, so it's like a really bad first impression on a date when its so much effort to get it to work.

I do like the new line and indent features. Maybe I won't need the color picker.

For the color picker, the right and left side just show the color as a foreground color or a background color.

I agree, i've always wished the colors could be arranged in a loqical sequence like light to dark. I'm not sure about left to right columns either because I use all white backgrounds with black text. Me and colors don't get along too well.

Ok that sort of helps, but why aren't similar colors grouped together, like shades of grey.

Also, is there a way to control the font on tasks. I can't read skinny fonts without reading glasses and my overdue tasks show up in a skinny font. Why is the font changing and not just the color I have set? I see this in the manual that this is standard, and would suggest a change here to not force italics. Many people that need reading glasses cannot read the italics on the BB due to the skinny font. Just let the colors controls.

The ability to “Show Address”

While in PD, when I receive a new email, I find myself having to exit PD then entering into Message to view the newly email so I can view the email address that was used to send me an email.

Default Weater Issue - 06-25-2006, 08:40 PM

Just installed V4.0 over 3.5

Everything works well, EXCEPT that my weather no longer updates. It's stuck on the last enty just BEFORE I upgraded.

I tried deleting the full application and re-installed. It seems to remember my settings.

Is there any way to delete the saved settings/data?

I'm sure everyone figured this out already but to install the non-pro version of the software you should use this address:
PocketDay http://www.crossriversystems.com/files/v40/pd.jad

Appearance wise v4.0 is looking better now.

For the weather not working reset your firewal:

Go to the BlackBerry home screen then options or settings then firewall. Makre sure its disabled (corporate BlackBerry's won't be able to disable it). Select reset from the menu then. Asave. Then pop the battery out to reboot the device.

I installed 4.0 Pro on my 7130g and I'm getting the following error message:

"Error starting PocketDay: Error loading module 'PocketDay' too many apps on device."

I uninstalled the old version and have restarted device several times. Any ideas?

How many apps do you have on your BlackBerry? The new PocketDay version did add one new module, but it shouyldnt have put you over the edge unless you have a large number of 3rd party apps. Try and delete something small.
