I think PocketDay Pro can do sports scores for you.

Also is there a way to get the schedule for all Ohio State games sent to my BlackBerry without me having to type in each week?

With pocketday sports addon. You could have ohio state on your scoreboard and everytime they play you will be able to follow the score. So, one time set up and leave everythings else to pocketday sports.

Default Pocket Express - 08-23-2006, 02:08 AM

I use Handmark's Pocket Express. Its $6.99 a month, but you can have it automatically download the entire season schedule for every team in MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, NCAA Basketball and NCAA football, NASCAR and F1 racing (PGA coming soon I have been told). I have checked the scores immediately following a score change and they are nearly real-time (within seconds). Actually I think they just changed their subscription fee to include news, sports and weather for free now... haven't read the details though.

PD Sports is a great program and like mentioned earlier, it is expensive.

Folks,

My comments on Sports Products Costs...as the developer of PocketDay Sports we feel that our $3.95 cost / month is as low as we could possibly go. After 9 months, we are still operating at a loss. Sports information, especially real-time, is very costly. We have negotiated a very aggressive price from our provider and as more people subscribe, we expect to be able to lower the cost.

We feel that the value that PocketDay Sports provides monthly for less than a Latte is excellent.

Thanks,

Kyle - PocketDay Support

I'll give my thumbs up to PocketDay Sports. Even as a Canadian I don't think that US$4.00 a month is too much. I use it for baseball and in addition to the pop-up score updates for the teams that I follow, I like the Game Previews and the Recaps that are available shortly after the end of a game, access to Standings and Schedules etc. You are getting a comprehensive service for your money.
And while I'm not rich, I can afford both PocketDay Sports and my Latte...

Have you found any other software out there yet? having a sports ticker or an easyway to see scores would be great!

For CFB Top 25 scores, you could simply bookmark mobileapp.espn.go.com/ncf/mp/html/scoreboard?vc=1

We have also just recently launched NFL real-time SMS alerts. There are two main types: Team Alerts, or Player Alerts. All our team alerts (e.g.: game summary) are free, while our Fantasy Player alerts are $3.99 per month for unlimited alerts/players.

Now, if you wish, you can get an alert *every* time you player throws, or runs in a TD, as well as: fumbles, sacks, intercepts, tackles, fieldgoals, and even rushing and passing yardage thresholds.

They are all completly customizable.

I just installed the client onto my Blackberry and when I try logging in it says I'm in an area with bad reception. I have great reception and every other net app works just fine. Is it that the client is not compatible with my 7100i?

The truth is usually just an excuse for a lack of imagination
