I see various options for pocket pc users, but so far nothing for blackberry. That would be a slick add on for my woodworking building hobby to be able to do calculations in fractions and inches with a fractional display like 1/4" rather than 0.25

Thanks for taking the time to list those, but those are converters and I'm looking for a calculator app like my ProjectCalc calculator that works in fractions.

How is it supposed work? I may be able to adapt my RPN calculator for it.. Give me some examples of how you would use it..

Might have better luck in Aftermarket Software. Moving it there.

Nothing too involved actually:

ex 1. enter values in fractions of an inch and do basic calc's (add, sub, mult, div)
such as 5 1/4" x 4 = 21"

ex 2. enter a value and choose to "convert" the result to feet, inches, yards
such as 16'2" --- convert --- inches = 194"

A true construction calculator calculates roofing angles, concrete needed for an area entered, etc.

Ain't no BB Sofware, but here is a calculator that will do what you are looking for. I have used one in a different career a lifetime ago.'

I have one of those and that's the inspiration, but those have buttons for determing how much paint, wallpaper, etc you need to do a job. I just want a calculator that I can work in fractions of inches with.

It DOES work in inch fractions. Unless you want an inch fraction calculator on your BB.

Nope, I tried and it returns a result that is decimal read out like this:

(5 1/2) + (14 3/4) = 20.25
