Wirelessly posted (Cingular-Blue 7290: BlackBerry7290/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/101)

Hey, let's not hog all the deepdarc bandwidth!

That's what I use for AIM, then it's straight googletalk for my gmail friends. I wasn't using MSN much and had problems with another transport so I stopped it for now.

With the announcement of the stand-alone IM apps coming soon, transports on GT will be a thing of the past (unless you use them for Mulit-IM on PCs).

i have to set my availibility to away then back to get it to reconnect. is this just me? does it happen with other transports as well?

I cant wait for the new IM programs coming out from BB thats gonna rock!

I remember using netlab.cz for a while for AIM, and then onto another transport. However I stopped using transports and google talk for aim in general because with other instances of aim open, whether it was gmail online with its embedded google talk app, or a standalone aim program, my buddies were getting constant html errors each time they imed me. If no other aim apps were open it was fine, but this was just annoying. Any solutions?

I've quit using google talk + Transports.

I've started using Yak On! and so far its been much more reliable. I still have 12 days of my trial left. So its between ramble and Yak On!

The UI between the 2 are really different thou. So its a matter of preference

Do you find Yak On! or Rample killing your battery life?

I use two transports, deepdarc.com for AIM and jabber.anywise.com for MSN.

Yeah, I've noticed exactly that! Dunno why that is...

We'll all be set when those stand-alones are released!

Deepdarc stopped work for me and 3 others. I registered AIM on bgmn.net for now. I just checked and the deepdarc transport is back online, but can't register to it. <shrugs>

I quit using MSN transports altogether after my contacts where complaining of constant pop-ups.

I only use the AIM transports. Sometimes they are fine for a while and then they go poof and need to find another transport. I havent found one truely stable transport that lasts yet.

Steve

BGMN flooded my inbox with over 600 (and counting) emails after i added it as a transport!
wtf is this, isnt very funnie either...my blackberry keeps going off every milisecond...don't use this transport unless you wanna get mail from google talk over 600 times...most couldnt be sent out as well, like mail delivery subsystem errors, and most were addressed to people on my buddy list i presume, this is odd cause it never happened to me with anyother transport
