Here’s a link for those looking for an OTA install of this application. http://www.software-for-blackberry.com/bb/launcher.jad

I’m receiving an error message that states
Quote:
This application requires the following module, which is not installed: images
I’ve sent an email to them inquiring of what BB’s does Launcher support, so we will see.

Geez, that was quick. If you receive the error message above then follow these directions.
Quote:
The problem is, it requires two additional
libraries- images and sfb_theme. I thought they will be automatically
downloaded as well, however, you can do it also manually:
- please direct your browser first to
http://www.software-for-blackberry.com/bb/sfb_theme.jad

- then, download images library
http://www.software-for-blackberry.com/bb/images.jad

- finally, main launcher application
http://www.software-for-blackberry.com/bb/launcher.jad

Haven’t received a response on that but it’s working on my 7100i though.

Tried it out, removed it right away. 3rd party icons didn't appear (command icon like old Zen - Bharti problem). A little too cluttered for me as well. I'm just too used to Zen.

Nice app though.

Doesn't work well on the 8100. Missing a line of tabs. Its not configured for the suretype board. As paulbblc stated "3rd party icons don't appear." Tried it, blew it off. I might use it when debugged. Nice idea.

I was missing a line of tabs as well but wasn't sure if it was a bug or if I had to set that up in options.

Being this application is still in BETA there’s going to be some bugs. I’m missing Mail, Task and the Agenda tabs but all of third party icons are visible in the Launch tab (I think).

Got it to work on my 7290. Looks nice, EXCEPT I too am missing the second row of tabs.

I'll keep playing with this one, since I think the tab concept is a definite improvement over the BB default screen.

I had an on-line chat with Markus from software-for blackberry.com this morning. They are aware of the problem and have developed an new version of the progam that should fix the problem.

I am waiting for the Developer to send me the new file to test. Once I get it loaded I will post the results.

So far today I have tested two debug versions of the program and both have caused JAVA erros. I've sent my logs to the developer and am waiting to hear back.

A new version has been made. Per developers request, first delete the old version then install the new version with the same launcher OTA link provided above.

I loaded the new versin that I got direct from the delveloper and see that ther is a problem in the4 Agenda section. It seems that all itmes show up one day before they are posted on your Outlook calender.

I downloaded the latest version yesterday (Oct 8.)

My previous tab problem is fixed.

In the agenda view, all my entries, both single and recurring, have the correct dates.

I really like this program.
