My opera mini browser shows me that there is no web connection. Is there a way to get the opera mini to connect to the web via bb 8700g ? Thanks in advance.

Opera mini does have a lot of bugs. I dont understand why my kids Opera for Nintendo DS can browes a lot of pages with no problems at all and my Opera is a hit and miss.

Can you recomend a good browser .

Why install a different web browser instead of using the BB one??

Mine was fussy to install also but I went into the browser options on the phone and turned on everything that referred to java and it works.

Personally i'm happy as a camper for having discovered opera. Now i can view pages on my bb that bb browser would not allow -and much faster. It must be improved though in terms of user friendliness

Can it read framwork and it has gateway issues in 8700's becaus it seems to work only with gprs radios an not edge

Can anyone provide the final word on how to get Opera Mini to work on a Cingular/Blackberry 7100g? I have already entered the TPN information: (APN: wap.cingular; Username for APN: [email address]; Password for APN: CINGULAR1.)

When trying to run Opera Mini I get the 3.0.10:80/ error "You do not have a working network connection."

Are there any other settings on the Blackberry that need to be changed? Do you have to be running BES to use Opera?

I'm running BIS. I have a data account, good signal, GPRS. Both the stock Blackberry and Cingular browsers work. (I downloaded the Beta 3.0 using one of them.)
