AskMeNow

I had to use JL_Cmdr to wipe my BlackBerry today. I restored my BlackBerry after I reinstalled the OS but AskMeNow is now gone from my BlackBerry. Does anyone have an OTA link that works? I did a search but the links I found didn't work. I don't want to download it from my providers Wap browser because if I get the one from my carrier I pay per answer. I wanted the free ad supported one.

Update: I emailed AskMeNow and basically they said you have to download it through your service provider if I want it back.

That sucks becuase I have to pay $0.75 per answer to Rogers Wireless. I liked having the free version that was ad supported. I thought when I backed my BlackBerry up before using JL_Cmdr it would have backed up the apps I installed OTA also but it didn't.

Anyone at all have an OTA link where I don't have to pay $0.75 per answer?

Tell me more about AskMeKnow: what is it?

Ask a question and pay for the answer... Not worth the charge especially when you can browse to Google or Wikipedia for free!

Just as finch posted you can ask it anything and you'll get the answer. Even things such as movie times, stock quotes, sports scores, etc... It did come in handy at times and I am already missing it. I guess I will just have to use a combination of Google and Berry 411 now. Is there a mobile app for Wikipedia or a Wikipedia wap site?

Berry 411 has some good wikipedia plugins.

Thanks I'll look at the plugins. I also updated my bookmarks and added: WIKIPEDIA which is a mobile vsn of Wikipedia. I still miss AskMeNow though
