I went to check out this software on their website... So far, I don't think anyone has been able to run it on their device... But looking at the description on the product page... I got the this section

Minimum System Requirements

System: BlackBerry
Memory: 16 MB or more

???? 16MB? Really?

Likewise, looks like it was a pre-development release that didn't get code signed correctly.

I'm running 8700 rel. 4.1.0.351 in the UK

That's where I got it from, and I think it was released a tad too early.

For what it's worth, me too. At least I know it isn't me.

It appears the company is aware of the problem and will be releasing a revised version shortly. I found the following on the forum discussion for the NewsCopier at the developer's site, allegedly posted by a support team member. For simplicity, I've cut and pasted, but you can follow the link in the first post of this thread and find the newscopier forum to see for yourself. I use PicoNews, but I'm always interested in new apps for the BB, so I hope they get the bugs worked out.

The team member writes:

According to RIM, NewsCopier should NOT require the Code Signing.

But, it appears that some System Administrators apply that restriction and we need to do the Signing. This process should take a couple of days and we’ll post new version shortly.

FYI, our Support team provides only limited support for FREEWARE products (like NewsCopier for BlackBerry). This forum is the best place to ask questions about NewsCopier.
