Default POLL: Run our own Jabber connector?

Please Login to Remove!

Given the poor stability and functionality (How the HxLL do I unregister from those things?!) of the jabber connectors from GoogleTalk to MSN/ICQ/AIM/Yahoo, etc,

Should we spend time to create and maintain our own "BlackBerry users" only Jabber server? (I suppose hosting these days are cheaper than those commercial non-free IM clients)

I almost voted "just wait for official clients", but then I thought, 'I doubt I'd want 2, 3, or 4 official IM clients running at once in the background'.

If a reliable BB-user Jabber server was made available for GoogleTalk for Blackberry to connect all of our IM accounts, why run all the others.

Although, when the official clients arrive, GT will no doubt be uninstalled from many BBs.
