Default New Registration Codes - 11-15-2006, 11:04 AM

I recently had to switch from an 8700c to an 8700g. Two of the programs I had on the old device--BBSpell and BBcurrency--have been re-loaded on the new device but will not recognize or accept the registration codes I received when I purchased the programs--presumably because they are associated with the PIN on the old device. I have e-mailed both developers (twice actually) but not received any response. Is there any way other to make the old codes work or must I get new ones from the (thus far) uncommunicative developers. Thanks. lponz7

Usually registration codes are based on your PIN, otherwise everyone could just use the same registration code.
There is a good chance you will have to repurchase to get a new code.

I have had three different Blackberries and have never had to repurchase software. I simply emailed them, gave them my new PIN and shortly thereafter received my new registration info.

I agree, I am on my fourth and have had no problems with sending the PIN code and shortly thereafter receiving the code. How did you purchase the software? If it was through Handango, contact them and advise them of the lack of responsiveness.
