I wrote a message asking for this several months ago with no good results.

I used to have a Treo 600 and used Splash Money to ballance my checkbook. What I really liked about this sofware was that it kept the name of the last transaction such as "corner grocery". The fact that I could program it to come right up to the screen I wanted with a hotkey wasn't bad either. This way the next time you typed a "c..." it would start to auto-populate with the correct information. In my opinion, this type of software is not usefull at the checkout counter unless you can do this. Splash Money (not available for blackberry) took this approach even a step further where it would even auto-populate the ammount based on the item name. If I typed "car wash" for instance and put in $10.73, that ammout would be there the next time I went back, thus making data entry fast and efficient.

Since that time, I have tested Ascendo Money and something called Wise Spent. Neither product comes close to auto-populating and both take you through too many screens to get to what you want.

Are there any suggestions on this today?

Sorry I don't use checkbook software... My bank would not have given me all them checks if I wasn't covered right???? lol
