BBLight doesn't work on 8703e
 

hi all,

i love bblight. however, i cannot get it to keep the backlight on when it is plugged into external power.

TeleNav, on the other hand, can be adjusted to keep the backlight during GPS navigation. So, evidently the capability exists on the 8703e.

is there a fix coming anytime soon for BBLight? or am i just missing something.

There won't be any upgrades to BBlight.

I have BBlight installed on my 8703e. I works just fine for me. Choose your settings, hit activate and then save and it should be ok.

The only other thing I can suggest is reboot, and redo the settings, activate and save.

And maybe pull the battery.

8703e BBlight Not Staying On
 

I have the 8703e (Verizon) and I cannot get BBlight to stay on when powered by my car charger.

I have BBLight (Active)
I have checked External Power
I have saved my changes
I have all application permissions set to "allow"
Firewall is set "disable"

I even took the battery out and then reinserted and powered up.

Does anyone have any other suggestions as I would really like the unit to stay on while driving rather than having to hit a button.

why do you use bblight on 8700 series?

If BBlight would work on 8703e I would use it to keep it lit up when I am driving and powering it with the car charger. That way I can see if I have email without having to hit a button and when I am on the phone it stays lit the whole time.

Hello all,

i triead of the suggested rebooterama, but nothing works. i have clicked activate, when power on, save, reboot, rinse and repeat. nothing works.

so i'm working on my desktop computer or in my car and my 8703e's backlight goes off. very annoying and lame and actually a step backwards from my 7520.

can somebody please help me keep the GD backlight on?
