Default Pocket Day Pro and the Sports Plugin

Please Login to Remove!

Colleagues,

My post below may be a bit loaded. I hope I was clear.

I downloaded the trial version of Pocket Day Pro. Other than the marginal newsreader and the plugin sports scores, I see no difference with Pocket Day Personal. I will purchase one or the other.

As far as the Pocket Day Sports, I am not able to check the box to autorefresh? My hope is that this is due to me using a trial version. Any thoughts? I want to purchase as well

Do any of you use the Pocket Day Personal and the Pocket Day Sports as a stand alone?

I loaded PocketDay and used it for a week. I didn't like it enough to pay for it so I uninstalled it. It was way too cluttered for me, I use the Vodaphone theme and it does a similar (albeit, not as detailed) job.

As far as the sports with PocketDay, I wouldn't pay extra when you can get applications that do a better job for free. Try PocketExpress, they have a new version out that does a great job on sport scores.

Thank you for sharing. I see the Pocket Express runs about $70 a year. I guess you get what you pay for. I will explore further.

I don't pay a dime for PocketExpress. I don't have a need for the pay services. The sports is free. The ones you pay for are maps (I use Google maps), Dictionary (don't care), and Info (I use Berry411).

News, sports, stocks, and weather are all free.

Oh. I did not realize. I will check it out.

Thank you very very much.

The difference with PocketDay Pro and Personal is News, World Clocks, Currency Converter and the ability to add Sports and Lists Plug-ins.

To check the auto-refresh box, press the Space bar...

Thank You. The space bar suggestion worked on the Pocket Day Pro.

The PocketExpress is also okay. Have not seen how Pocket Express customizes teams. I will definitely keep the free components of it.

I've been using the pocket day sports plugin for a month or so. I'm very happy with it. I created a custom list of ncaa bball schools (mostly ACC and top 25 teams). Works like a charm.

I like telling it to go back a day and check those late game scores the next morning. I would like ncaa bball and football subsets of just their respective top 25, so I don't have to manually edit it myself. Also, being able to select an entire conference would be helpful. There are just too many ncaa schools to use it as a full set.

Yep....I've been using pocket express for a month now and I haven't paid a dime for it. I don't need the other stuff like the other guy said because we already get it free from other programs.
