Opera Mini 3.0 is out of beta i'm shackled by the no-10-posts-no-linky, but it's available here operamini.com |
|
Is this the version that many members have complained about that doesn't run worth a hoot most times? Or was that the beta version. It looks pretty good, but everything looks pretty good on a demo. And if I dl it the original BB browser will still be there in its entirety right? |

I never had any problems with it before, and I can't stand looking at pages with the menu bars auto-expanded like the BB Browser does it... Installing this doesn't do anything to your original BB Browser...in fact, it left Opera Mini 3.0 Beta 2 on my Pearl as well. I had to remove it manually. |
Is there an OTA DL for this? |
|
The OTA was posted in the first post: operamini.com |
Moved to the Aftermarket Software section. ~MrKyoo |
I'm running Opera beta 2 and so far don't have any issues other than it is a little slow. I'd like to download the released version but I'd rather not lose my bookmarks and RSS feeds. Someone above stated that they installed the released version and they had to manually remove the Beta version. If I do this, is there a way to move my bookmarks and RSS feeds from the Beta to the released version before I remove the Beta from my Pearl? I was kind of hoping that the released version would just install over the beta version and keep all settings, bookmarks, etc. I guess no such luck? |
I'm getting a warning that it can't be loaded because the digital signatures are invalid. (Loading from the app loader, desktop 4.2, cingular 7290 ) |
Thanks for the heads up. |
https websites This is probably old news for many of you, but Opera Mini is a great program for me. While it is not as user friendly as the BB Browser, it will load numerous websites that the standard browser will not. I have several work related sites that are all https sites (secure) that will not work with the standard or wap browser, but work like a charm with Opera. This allows me to utilize my BlackBerry for these situations where otherwise, I would have to get to my laptop and a wifi connection.(y) (y) |
opera 3.0 wontconnect just installed on my phone. i get a message "Failed to connect to the internet" Help? |
007, Its prolly just a case of you needing to set your APN. You can find that under TCP in options>advanced options. Do a search for TCP and it you should find a list of all the carriers. If you are with tmo, its wap.voicestream.com |
