Need software for Homeland Security on a 8700c and 7100i. I need to store excel and word documents, maps, etc....

Homeland Security? You work for the government?

I don't think Blackberry will work for you since you are also asking for Word and Excel.

I think maybe the Microsoft based phone will be better suited for you.

Also you can do some hacking, programming, etc. with it.

There are several excellent Word and Excel products available for the BlackBerry, see offerings from Simprit, Dynoplex and others.

We do a lot of development for mobile devices at Ascendo and the development environment for BlackBerry is one of the best we have seen.

BlackBerries are prevalent at government agencies.
