The site states that it will only work with Rogers, Bell and Telus subscribers on the 8700r or 7130g. I'm hoping it's truly not limited to just this. Anyone have any luck with any other carrier or BB?

if you are a non rogers carrieri, click the other one, then register. if you are not in canada, make one up or put one that you know, like a friend. thats what i did. it will send you a OTA link to your email. its pretty cool just to ahve some kind of video for now on my 8700g. one program i like, is that it shows what you missed on tv the night before. like simpson clips, or jay leno. check it out though!!! you can put the OTA link in here and that would solve a lot of the email and having to put fake numbers in there.

The first two posters said that it is working on TMobile and Sprint.

It seems taking long time to download a clip. I finally canceled the download :(

edit:

finally, I downloaded one clip. I played it for 2 sec and I had to turn it off. It is because it is loud and I have no idea how I can adjust the volume.

But it seems nice. Too bad it is not a live-feed.

I think it might recognize different devices -- I put Firefox here into Pearl (8100, OS 4.2) ident mode (see: user agents & phone masquerading) and grabbed the JAD file; inside it has this:

Code:
RIM-COD-URL-3: com_sona_media_libMedia.cod
RIM-COD-Size-3: 15136
RIM-COD-URL-4: 4.2/com_sona_media_player.cod
RIM-COD-Size-4: 60436
Notice the "4.2/" prefix on COD #4. Then I put Firefox into 8700 ident mode (OS 4.1) and get this instead inside the JAD:

Code:
RIM-COD-URL-3: com_sona_media_libMedia.cod
RIM-COD-Size-3: 15136
RIM-COD-URL-4: com_sona_media_player.cod
RIM-COD-Size-4: 60436
...so I can't be 100% sure, but it looks like ths site is smart and will support your phone based on user agent.

I just installed it on my Pearl (T-Mobile), fired it up and chose the first video clip at the top -- it took a few seconds (15?) before the download actually started for real, and downloaded from that point very slowly (a lot slower that a 37sec clip should take, imho). But, it played -- not the best quality by far, they can do a lot better to be BB optimized...not to mention the clip is a a meg in size.

When I load it and try to browse video clips it says "An unexpected error has occured" I hit "more info" and it says "Exception: java.io.IOException could not open tunnerl - failed" Any idea whats going on ?
