Just got a BB 7290 from T-Mobile and am looking for a program that allows me to access our Access database files. Any thoughts?

If you can live with a server-based solution, there's a way to do remote database administration with several software programs, at least with Oracle and SQL Server. (Not sure about Access).

Remote database administration can be done by using software such as Idokorro MobileAdmin, which is available at www.idokorro.com (Trial version available -- need to install a server side component)

Wow, that's a little more expensive than what I was looking for. Basically, what I want to do is place an access file on my BB 7290 and be able to view it in a more presentable inteface. I also need search features. The file contains basic customer contact info and notes. It would be amazing if it could also sync any changes to the master file on our company network, but that's not critical.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like what you are trying to do, is somewhat different from the database administration. (Note, that the Idokorro MobileAdmin gives you a license to unlimited clients accessing up to 8 separate servers, so that's why it is priced the way it is.)

I don't think there's yet any client-side database software, or that kind of software you speak of yet. Closest you might be able to get to is an Excel editor (with working formulas), there are a couple out there called MiniExcel and eCell.

I don't think there's an Access-style editor out (yet?).

Maybe I didn't explain well what I'd like to do. I just need a Database Viewer for an Access database file. Before we got the blackberries, I was doing research on Treo's and I found numerous programs such as:

Database Viewer Plus
MobilDB
HanDBase
JFile

I can't imagine that there is nothing similar for BB's. Any help would be appreciated!

Well, you had better expand your imagination, because unfortunately, that is correct. There is nothing similar for BBs.
