I still learning how to use the 7250 out of the box, but already I hate the user interface that comes from the factory and the email setup is cumbersome at best.

I hate the UI because it gives me no information on the main screen of the device. I cant see emails, schedule, stocks or anything else without actually going into an app. I also am having trouble figuring out how the best way to "organize" my email accounts. I have two accounts one off my corporate server for work and gmail from Google. I downloaded the gmail software, but to know if you even have email you have to into the app, the corporate account is going into messages and I am originating emails from address book.

One thing I liked about my Treo was that it displayed all incoming email and I could toggle between work and personal accounts. Now I dont even have an icon for my corporate account and like I said I get no notifications on my personal account. I like the message center because it ties all my SMS, corporate email and calls together in one place, but the email needs to stand alone I think to easier to sort through and I would love it if there was a way to have it pull email addresses from the phone book as I started typing like on the Treo.

If some of you would be kind enough to recommend after market software that would solve the above issues would you please also recommend a loader to get things from my laptop to both mine and my wifes BB.

Wow; that's a lot of questions and issues in one thread.

For a "Today" like screen, check out PocketDay (Cross River Systems) - it is a very nice "dashboard" as your home screen. Mail, missed calls, calendar, stocks, weather all on one page.

There are no e-mail replacements for the standard application.

All messages *always* appear in the Messages folder. There is no way to seperate out the corporate messages. Sorry.

I would make sure you are running the latest handheld operating system on the 7250; that's a older model when compared to the 87xx and 81xx models, so it may not be current. Go to Options / About to see what version you are running, and check with your carrier's BB support web site to see what is available.

For a "loader" if you are using a Windows PC, use Desktop Manager that came with the BB (or download from RIM). If you are using a MAC, try PocketMac. I think that is also on the RIM website.

Not sure what you are trying to move. These programs allow you to load applications and to synch contacts, calendar, tasks, notes, etc. rom Outlook or similar programs.

You were spot on with PocketDay, that is much easier to read and it consolidates your information without having to open every app.

Does BBToday do the same thing?
