Default Berry411 - Nothing Happens?! - 01-21-2007, 09:51 PM

I've installed the latest version. I see the icon, but when I click on it, nothing happens. no errors, nothing.

I had it working when I first got the phone yesterday, but I formatted and wanted to start clean. I'm about to try and start clean again. I've seen people with this same error on the boards, but no one seems to know how to fix this? I'm using Cingular's browser to download and install this. Could that be the problem? what else should I use? how can I use RIM's browser?

Confirm that you have the APN settings correct. Options > TCP settings

I gotta tell you how weird this is.. JUST LIKE every other post on the forums. Mine fixed itself.

my best advice (for those searching for this issue). Is to click it once and wait ~30min to 1hr. After that some weird Javascript error came up and I clicked OK, then I tried to run it again and it works fine.

I just clicked it, and left my phone to go post this, then I went to eat. about 30min later I came back and picked my phone up and it had that error. Good luck, feel free to contact me. I'd love to know whtas wrong with this thing.

I'm too impatient to wait 30 minutes. I would just pull the battery out for 30 seconds if that happened.

my guess: it tried to run something that it couldn't, and it took the 30min for it to cycle through the loop and figure out it wouldn't work. so battery removal wouldn't work.

note: it didn't lock up during that 30min at all. Just clicked it and waited, though if I wanted to use my BB during that time I could have. Just didn't.

Why wouldn't battery removal work?
