| Ebook readers, ebooks, et al Please Login to Remove! I have been on the hunt for a good ebook reader for awhile... I use an 8700c. When Wattpad came out I thought I had hit the jackpot, but I never could get it to work right, and their tech support eventually gave up on me as well. (No fault of theirs, sometimes it is what it is, you know?)
I looked at the Mobipockets and the other ubiquitous ebook readers for the BB. Although they seem like fine products, I saw a few users having trouble with document conversion/compatibility, etc, and so I passed on that as well. Liked the sound of the Plucker format, but it's more of a Palm thing.
Anyway, I just ran up on mobile.tx2ph.com, and it seems to be just what I was looking for. It optimizes around your phone, you can choose whether to read it landscape or portrait, and whether the text pieces will be sent as image files or plain text.
They seem to have a large collection of sci-fi novels right now... but you can request that a text be added from Project Gutenberg. if you don't know what this is, Google it up.
Anyway, if anyone else has had experience with this, I would love your feedback.
The features I like the best about it are
1) it's free (save any data charges) and
2) no reader has to be installed. I'm kind of picky about what I install on my BB.
Will report back after I have curled up in bed with a few good novels...
