Default an msn client?

okay, i have been searching google and this forum all day and i can't find an msn client that works for me.

i've tried the mig33 thing or something that somebody posted as a beta but it wouldnt connect, i've also tried to conect google talk to msn using both miranda and psi, but neither would work.

is there any straight forwards ones i can get, free or cheap?
