Since I am leaving, I am going to do one more review before I leave.
Voice Recorder + (beta) (version 0.96) by Shape Services (the maker of IM +)
Pro
YAY!! We can finally use the phone to record our voice!

It is very simple to use. To my surprise, it record very long. Expect to record at least 60 minutes, enough for recording a class lecture. We don't have to use the voice memo on the phone anymore.
Con
It's too simple. There's hardly any features to it. There's no volume control, no VOR, no mic sensitivity, etc. One major drawback I found is you do not have a choice where you want to save your voice file. I am not even sure where it get saved at. In the internal phone memory or on the MicroSD? For me, when it record more than 80 minutes, the phone end up crashing on me so I have to remove the battery and reset it. It is best not to have any programs running in the background when you use it.
Jive Talk (beta) (versioin 0.5.16) by Alpha
This review is when I was using the AOL IM client.
Pro
It have a very nice graphic interface. Almost look like it and feel like Trillan (another IM client for the PC). I feel it's actually better than Yak-On that is available for the Blackberry. It's very easy to setup. Once it is installed, you ready to go.
Con
No way to save your IM messages. You have to remember to save your settings if you change it. If you press the “Return” or “Back” (which is the key just right of the trackball) it disregard any changes you made. You can not just exit the program by clicking on “Close”. You have to use “Force Shutdown”. Does not tell you if your buddy is on a mobile phone.
Pro Or Con?
It does not make any kinds of sound at all. I like to have a option if I want sound or not.
CONCLUSTION
After playing around with both programs, I highly recommend getting it. I think you like it.
