I just recently downloaded this program onto my blackberry and it is amazing. Now I can open attachments from e-mails and even directly print them. I really reccomend this to every person that is on the go and needs access to attachments from their blackberrys. The good thing right now is that you can still get it for free because it is a new program. I had some trouble in the beginning but the customer service personel was very professional and was able to help me fix it. I really really reccommend this to everyone! Just get it at beamberry.com.

I just read the press release, and downloaded it.
At first glance, it looks cool.
I'll mess around with it and see.

Not a bad application. I'm impressed with it.
Amazed with the quality. Should test it for yourself.

This definitely looks like something to try. Please provide feedback once you've had a chance to try this out.

Some please tell me what is so great about this program.

I am trying it right now and it took 2+ minutes to open an Excel SS that the BB viewer takes 5 seconds to display. Another PDF I tried to view its still doing something and its over 3 minutes now.

If I want to print or save the document I can save to my MicroSD card or forward by email to MY computer for storage or printing.

It also seems VERY unsafe for anything but the most casual of documents as it sends your file to some unknown place/people then it is sent back to you instead of simply being able to just view it on your BB like the built in viewer.

Now its 4 minutes its saying "retrieving document" and this is a simple 1-2 page file. First is Cancel, next is to delete this program.

not sure why it is taking so long for you...it only takes 30 seconds at most to open a multiple page document. Also, unlike the built in viewer, it displays page layouts correctly, especially pdf's. Best of all, it's free.

I might sound paranoid but I will still pass as it could just be a free version of spyware. I am not saying it is but when you can safely do similiar to what it does without it, why take a chance.

How about just emailing me, a total stranger, all your personal files and I will send them back ? No difference.

...actually, could you take a moment and look at that latest round of my finances I emailed you and offer some tax saving suggestions?

But back on topic -- I'm trying to get a concise answer on this, does BeamBerry work at all like a traditional viewer, you can File -> Open a document off the SD card? Or are you forced to use their server, like other solutions (DocHawk et. al)?

It seems that you can only open a document using their server.
I def wouldn't open anything sensitive with this program.

Sorry, just my 2 cents. But, if you are concerned about security, you should know this.
