I recently installed the trial version of Idokorro Mobile Admin on my BES, and am having some flaky issues using it (I think Idokorro is working fine, though).
Sometimes I can get all the way logged into the BES (from my Blackberry) and see the all the users (I've even set activation passwords), but other times when I click on the 'Blackberry Manager' icon I get the error <No servers found>.
After talking with Idokorro tech support, we narrowed it down to the Blackberry User Administration Service hanging up. If I stop and start that service, then I can get back into the BES (via my Blackberry) just fine. I did find the following error in the Application Log, and wonder if anyone knows what the heck it means:
"The description for Event ID ( 20000 ) in Source ( BlackBerry User Administration Service ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Missing registry value (Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Admin\SQLAuthUserName)."
I checked the registry on the BES, and there is no sub-key for SQLAuthUserName under the Admin key (there are other sub-keys, including one for the SQLServer name and Database name). When I installed the Blackberry User Admin Service, I selected the option to use Windows Authentication, not MSSQL authentication (Windows auth. is selected on the Database Connectivity tab of the Server Configuration window).
Any ideas why this service would continue to hang? I get all excited that I can administer users from my BB, and then it hangs and I cant' use it.
BES is 4.0.6
