I was wondering if anyone has used this program? (click sentence)

It looks pretty neat since you don't have to do much except put your dvd into your computer and click a button. It would help those not techy with such a simple application.

I'm wondering how the sound/image quality of the exported movies are on the Pearl.

They advertise a trial version which I for one will try once I get an 8800. I know there are free solutions out there, but if it works as easy as they advertise, it would be worth the money to me.

I guess I'll just have to try it once I get my pearl on Thursday ;)

Just got done converting a DVD and heres what I think about this.

Pros:
. The easiest program I've seen. You literally click twice and it converts a whole dvd for you.
. Once the dvd is converted, it automatically locates the blackberry device, goes to your microSD card and asks you to put them in the movies section.
. Video quality is awesome and sound is great.
. There are many settings you can choose like widescreen (yeah i dont use it but hey more options are nice), normal screen and cinemascope (don't know what that is yet).
. Option to choose either Better Sound or Better Image Quality.
. Many other options like YouTube (haven't tried yet.)
. Convert other video clipe files to play on your BB.
. Supports formats for other BB's besides the Pearl.

Cons:
. It takes around 40 mins to convert a DVD and get it onto your BB. (I guess its not that bad, but to me it is).
. If your DVD supports other languages you have to go to the advanced section and choose the language. Theres also another problem with this. The dvd's dont tell you which English (which is my choice) version to choose. I had to try and convert the DVD 3 times because there was a DVD version which is just the movie, another with the directors commentary over it, and a version that shows how they made the movie.

All in all, I think it was worth it for me to buy it because I love the program.

This appears to be an awesome product. How is the 8800's battery life after watching a 2 hour movie? Does the headphone jack of an 8800 allow for regular "iPod-like" headphones?

Im sure you can use ipod headphones and get a 3.5mm to 2.5mm jack converter. As far as an 8800 battery life, I don't know. I have a Pearl. I'll tell you how much battery life I have after watching a 2.5 hr movie when I get back from my vacation :P
