Default Help with Google Maps for 8703e Please!

Please Login to Remove!

Ive been using Google Maps 1.3 version since the fall, and recently, i started up the application and it told me there was a new version, asking me if I wanted to upgrade to the newer 1.4.4 version. I thought, why not.

After upgrading the new version, it no longer worked and gave me an error message. Something about not being able to connect. It would start up, but never be able to download any maps.

Now, Ive uninstalled Google Maps 1.4.4, done many reboots and battery pulls, and many reinstalls... but every time I go to run Google Maps it hangs at the Terms and Conditions, loading. Please wait... screen. Then it gives me a "Network Unavailable, This program requires a data connection, etc" message and wont continue.

Ive never had a problem before using GM (older version) on my 8703e. Can anyone help? What can I do?

I'm on Verizon.
I'm using BIS.
All other programs are fine including: BBWeather, Berry411, Berry Search, Google Talk.
I tried downloading the Google Maps 1.4.4 to my friends brand new 8703e today and it runs just fine for I know it's not Google or an application issue.
I never changed any settings whatsoever when upgrading from the old to the new version of GM... so I'm not sure what settings I need to change, if any, to get the new version to work.

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!

NEVERMIND! just tried the options/advanced options/applications/google maps/edit permissions/reset firewall prompts and it fixed the problem! After resetting the firewall prompts, I restarted Google Maps and it asked me to allow connection or deny connection. After allowing the connection all was good.
