Default Check book or account balancing software

Is there a program that I could use to keep track of how much money is in my check account? Basicall a BB Check ledger?

There are several. I use a program called eCheckRegister. It doesn't have a lot of bells & whistles (which I don't need). Other people here swear by Ascendo Money, which has a lot more features.

Go to Handango - Windows Mobile, Palm OS, BlackBerry and Symbian Smartphone Software Downloads and do a search.

Ascendo Money provides import/export of multiple file formats including Microsoft Money. Highly recommended!

Hi

Does the Ascendo work with a mac. If not would anyone recommend this software purely to use on my BB and not bother with the Desktop side. I assume you don't have to use the desktop at all??.

Doug-

I don't believe it supports Mac. You are correct... the desktop software is not necessary.

Honestly, I rarely use the desktop software. When I do, it is simply to review transactions while my Blackberry is charging. I enter all my expenses via my Blackberry usually as soon as the transaction is made. I compare my withdrawals/deposits about once a week with my online banking to ensure I'm good to go.
