Default Flexwallet for Blackberry Released - 03-04-2007, 09:19 AM

Those of you who graduated from the Windows Mobile platform are probably familiar with WebIS, the authors of Pocket Informant, FlexMail, and FlexWallet.

They just released a client of FlexWallet for the Blackberry which syncs to the desktop version. I've been using FW for a couple of years, and have sorely missed the mobile version when I moved to the BlackBerry.

Read more about it here:

Is WebIS going to move their PIM Pocket Informant over to the BB Platform?

It would be a much welcomed addition.

Thanks,

Mark

I believe they should step into the PIM arena for BB. Not that what we have is not great, but more variety and selection would be good for the BB.

Actually, what we have is not great. A Pocket Informant move into the BlackBerry world would be welcomed indeed.

There really is no available PIM Enhancement software other than PocketDay for the Blackberry OS. Someone that jumps in with a product that is like:

From PalmOS
-------------
Agendus (iambic - Productivity software and solutions for Palm, Treo, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Smartphone and Microsoft Outlook) My personal favorite coming from PalmOS
DateBk6 (Pimlico Software) This and Agendus are #1 and #2
2Day (ShSh Software)

From WinMob
-------------
Agendus (Iambic just started supporting this OS)
Agenda Fusion (Developer One : Award Winning Pocket PC & Smartphone Software Featuring Agenda One, Agenda Fusion 8 and CodeWallet Pro!)
Pocket Informant (Welcome to WebIS.net - Home)

I believe the first to market with an operation product would clean up with the power users in the business community that use the Blackberry OS.

Someone give us a beta - we will help you work out the bugs and get some amazing market share.

Thanks,

Mark

They (WebIS) have indicated on their forums that they are interested in the proposition and are evaluationg things. I'll be sure to share on this board if I hear anything more concrete than that.

The PIM on a BB is lacking to say it lightly.

Anyone who is in a contact based job like sales knows this. The PIM on BB is no better than Outlook which is not good at all for contact management.

I am looking for a BB based product that can produce the contact-activity based structure of CRMs like ACT and Goldmine. Handheld Contact is the only thing that is close but it is expensive and does alot of things that I don't need for the $.

I would love to have "ACT for Blackberry" like they have "ACT for Palm".

Have a great day,
JP

I sorely miss using my Agendus for Palm which IMHO is the best PIM application on any platform.

I still keep my Palm Treo for PIM and use the Pearl for email, web, phone etc. I sync both with Companion Link software.

If someone could create a FULL featured PIM app for BB, then I would just keep my Pearl
