Exclamation Email templates - any recommendation.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

One of our clients need to manage customer queries. They have company-wide canned responses that worked fine on desktop. But then they gave the field guys a BB. So they are wondering how to move everything to the devices. I did a bit of looking around and have one particular company on my radar, but I am looking if there are others that I might be missing...

While vendors are always welcome, (heck! my job is to recommend applications to these big companies so I cannot do without you guys ) but real insight from users who have first hand experience of the product will be really helpful. Please share your views about the product you have used, if any. I have a few days with me before I put in my reco. so I hope I can get some advice from here.

Thanks.
J.

I use Mobylo! QuickResponse, that I found in a post here MagicMail, great piece of software This post starts out talking about an application called "MagicMail," but I've never tried it.

The Mobylo Web site is Mobylo! QuickResponse for BlackBerry - Mobylo!.

I find it easier to send "canned responses" using this software than from the desktop.

Oh, yes MagicMail is also on my list, but I was having trouble downloading it - it said Invalid Cod. I thought maybe I had the wrong link or something, and wrote to the developer and also on this forum - but he seems to be less than interested in replying!!

No wonder people are generally frustrated with customer service!

Dear Jocelyn,
As far as we know, QuickResponse has at least three features that are not there in other similar products.

1. Placeholders - The ability to personalize each canned response on the fly.
2. Backup and Restore of the templates with intelligent merging.
3. SMS integration.
4. Address-book like "Narrow as you type" search to quickly find templates when you have hundreds of them.

[Oh that makes it four ]

If you have installed QuickResponse OTA, you can download the user guide from http://m.mobylo.com/qr25gs.zip as it details some of these features.

Jocely, you will be glad to know QuickResponse also has enterprise wide installations in a few large companies. We will like to invite you to test it out for your client.

In case you have any queries regarding the product features - this forum is the best place to ask. We are mostly tech people so we can help best with that.

Any queries regarding the licensing may please be directed to our support staff : [email address] and they are the best people to assist you.

Regards,
Mobylo! Team

Sorry about that,

we have been very busy. What exact error are you getting? OS version 4.0 is required.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply jjrr. I just get this popup that says Invalid Cod File. I am using the link at your website, so I hope its the correct file there.

Also, can you just give us a brief feature description about the capabilities of MagicMail (just a short point-wise list with top 3 will be enough). So that I know what I can expect when i take the trial.

Thanks.
J.

Jocelyn,
please send us an e-mail at [email address] and we will send you a free copy tomorrow.
What you can do is:
1. create templates and use them to compose e-mails
2. tag templates
3. retrieve e-mail quickly using tags

Thank you
The Link2 Team

I love QuickResponse, however, I have lost all my email templates that I created twice, first time it was not backed up and restored, and the second time, it did not work with Device Switch wizard on BB Desktop 4.2.

Hopefully QuickResponse Team can seriously looking into their code to see what is missing. Many other third party applications that I have got transferred ok by Device Switch wizard and those save a lot of time.

Dear Pengrus,
We are really sorry for the inconveniences caused. We try hard to keep bugs out, but some rare ones manage to creep in :(

The first issue had occurred when QuickResponse did not have backup functionality and it was added in the next release.

The desktop switch wizard takes its own decisions on how and what applications to transfer. If it has the slightest doubt that the application may not transfer correctly, it skips the application and this seems to have happened.

Although this issue occurs only when switching from an old device to 8800, we have this issue on priority. We are working with RIM support to solve this ASAP.

Thanks for the insight Pengarus. A customer view always helps. I will mail them and see what the Switch Device issue is really about. But truly, I am also loving QuickResponse. The enterprise version has lots of add-ons, but for the moment we are testing 2.5 for features, scalability and robustness.

That said, I will try MagicMail also. Will need to understand what this tagging is all about. I have always found existing users feedback the most valuable. Nothing can beat experience they say!
