You have to add your location with your zip code for it to know what to search for.

Hi all,
If you are looking for your Location ID for the BBToday Weather section you can go to your PC and seach your city in Weather.com. When you have the correct weather for your city look at the URL of the browser and in there you will see the code you need to enter in your BB. Example:

http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...om=search_city

CAXX0504 your be the location ID for Toronto, Canada

I hope this helps,

Peace

Default BBToday and changes to T-Mobile BIS - 12-01-2005, 02:00 PM

Has anyone noticed that with the changes to the BIS service with T-Mobile your email account will be displayed in the BBToday screen. Thats fine and dandy, but if your BIS email is really long, it gets all smashed up in the screen and can't be read.

Has this happened to anyone? Im using the Vodafone 72XX for 71XX theme?

Thanks

The link still works, I just tested this, make sure you type OverTheAir EXACTLY like that, with the first letter of each word capitalized. If you put it in any other way, it will 404 you. That URL is case sensitive.

I'm seeing the same thing with both my addresses on my 7105t.
[email address] and
[email address]
are all squished together.
Otherwise it works great.

You can choose to not display your email accounts by highlighting the "new messages" section and click the wheel.
Scroll down to preferences and uncheck "Display Details". That should remove email account info.

Ok, maybe I need to become a "newbie" again, but I have searched and searched for a description of these products and don't see it. I have a good idea what the BBWeather is, but is there a site that shows screen shots or just describes it?

Without downloading them all just to see what they do, can you answer this? Are these free or is there a price? Is there a website other than the download site that has product info?

Here is my guess at what each is, you can heckle me now ;)

BBlight - controls the back light
BBReply - allow you to change your reply-from address on outgoing mail
BBToday - viewer for USAToday website
BBWeather - Weather
BBCorrector - Spell Check

So how did I do, I think I got 2 out of 5 :(

Default BB Weather error IPPP not found - 12-29-2005, 11:14 AM

I installed the BB weather and put in the location ID, but it states the following error: "could not find a service book entry for IPPP". Yet, when I go to my service book, there's an IPP already there and it is ACTIVE. I am using the BlackBerry 7100g Cingular service. Can anyone assist me?

Thanks.

I have solved my own problem by trial an error. For anyone else that may have this problem. If your IPPP is already in your servicebook and active, then you need to click the trackwheel and scroll to options. Click on options, and scroll to disable MDS proxy and check that box, then save and exit options. At that point, the weather forecast or current weather for the location IDs that you have set up, will load on to the screen of your BB device.

Unfortunately this wont work for those of us that have corporate controlled security policies that wont let us disable MDS. Anyone have any other suggestions? I have an IPPP entry in the service book and it is active.
