Looks very good. Would love to see some more screenshots.

I am using VoiceRecording plus from shapeservices now.. Any insight on the major difference between the two? Sounds like yours is more powerful.

I found this review which answered all my questions. I guess I will go with vnotes after I try it out.

Found a couple of issues with the new vNotes... I tried to register at your forum, but have not got the activation email yet.

My feedback as follow, on BB 8800

1. For some reason, the default location OFTEN switch back to store/home/user/ , and I haven't found why it is switching back, although all the Map Folders to Keys are set to SDCard/, and my default is set to SDCard/Blackberry/VoiceRecord

2. The led indicator: It is showing red led indicator when you are working within vNotes, but if you put it into background, it shows your configured indicator color. Is it possible to show configured led color for both within and background? That way it does not confuse you whether it is recording or not.

3. 1-2-3: record, pause, stop - Led Color
I found even it was on PAUSE in background, the led color is still flashing... That may give you false impression that it is recording... It should be set to stop flashing if the recorder is paused or stopped... So you know for sure if it is recording or not.

4. Please make an "Auto Save" a configurable option on stop the recording - wish list.

5. Map the delete function to the DEL key on bb, the DEL key is present on every single blackberry.

This is a very well done program! Thumbs up!

@pengrus: Thanks for your interest with our products. I was searching for that link but you have already posted it in here before me. Regarding our support forums, please do check your bulk mail box too some people have mentioned that the activation mail is delivered there, anyways no worries, I have activated your account from admin panel so, no more activation worries - feel free to login and make your comments - kindly be informed that if you are comfortable here np, we do check in here frequently to answer our product support questions.

Regarding the issues you mentioned:
1] Can you confirm that this settings for folders are saved by selecting the settings screen again - probably it is not saved and the default values of 'store/home/user/' is used. If you still face problems we can sure help you (Btw as I write this got confirmation from our QA team that the setting is persistent)

2] In foreground - the RED is flashed twice to indicate that the recording session has begun, then only when you are in background the LED flashes with selected color. We can sure change to indicate record start with the same configured color itself. Thanks for the suggestion.

3] The reason the Pause in background is indicated is that many of our customers requested that they start recording, or pause it for some reason (may be a phone call) and they seemed to need a way to know that the recording session is still waiting for them to interfere. Maybe we can indicate with other color for paused state.

4] Auto Save - sure we will add it to settings for the next build.

5] Sure delete will also be added in next build.

Again thanks for your valuable feedback, instead of comparing us with other programs - I would request you to test ride and find the experience yourself.

Thanks for your detailed reply.

1] I can assure you that the Default Location is saved. I set it using the Settings, after I changed the Default Location, I hit Escape key, it promps me to SAVE, and I selected SAVE. So I am sure it is saved correctly.

Now I think I figured out what caused the switch. After I saved the DEFAULT LOCATION, back to program, if I go into the SETTINGS AGAIN, and change the colors for label etc, after I select SAVE when hit ESCAPE, the default location was switched back to store/home/user/. So make changes to other settings later on make the DEFAULT LOCATION switch back... So I believe this is a bug.

2] "change to indicate record start with the same configured color itself" - great idea! And it will simplify the indicator and reduce the confusion on status.

3] "Maybe we can indicate with other color for paused state" - that'll be excellent!! So together with number 2 above, you will only have a total of two colors, one color for "IN RECORDING", and the other color for "STOPPED/PAUSED". Then it'll help make sure we know that we are recording, and not falsely thought it was in recording, but it actually was paused, avoid huge lost opportunity.

The following issues were addressed:

1] There was an error related to the settings persistence for folder when other settings were changed and that is fixed now.
2] Record start LED indication now is the selected LED color itself
3] Pause LED indication is added and is customizable
4] 8800 UI problem with the recorder logs - fixed that always it appears in two lines with file name in line 1, file properties in line 2 and is currently being improved for even better interactions and clarity.
