We just released Boopsie mobile search for Blackberry. It allows you to type very few characters to find exactly what you want. For example, we can access 90% of the 8.5 million entries of Wikipedia in less than 7 keystrokes. Everything is live over the air, nothing cached - so, you need a data plan. Choose a category, then start typing what you want. We have a patent pending search engine that is amazingly fast. You only have to type prefixes, not the whole thing.
Find Uma Thurman in Wikipedia by typing 'um th'
Find California Pizza Kitchen in City Search Los Angeles with 'c p k'
Find Weather in Laguna Beach by typing 'lag bea' or '92651'
Find Harry Potter in IMDB by typing 'har pott'
Find Lindsey Lohan in Celebrity Photos by typing 'li loh'
Minimize your typing and find things faster.
This doesn't work like Google or Yahoo. It finds things as you type them in over 50 channels. Amazon Books, Weather, College Basketball, sports cores, Wikipedia, Weather, news, stock quotes, recipes, etc. All channels are server based and are added by 3rd parties daily - you get them automatrically. Find concert tickets, ski/surf reports, dictionary entries, local businesses very quickly. For a general/global search, choose the General channel and start typing something. You'll find it.
We are looking for your feedback about the product, but also, we would like to you to download the product at boopsie.com/dl and then run it and choose Menu -> Settings and let us know what the Data Access: entry says - it will show you a number like 1, 2, etc. Please email us with your carrier name, Blackberry model you have and what number shows up after 'Data Access:' to
Thanks!
