Default New Beta Application: TheBlackBerryGuy

Please Login to Remove!

Hello BlackBerry Users!

We are excited to announce the launch of our new application, appropriately called TheBlackBerryGuy

The BlackBerryGuy application was designed to work hand in hand with our BLACKBERRY SUPPORT/MEMBERSHIPS, however, that doesnxxx8217;t mean that you need to be a member of the BlackBerryGuy in order to take advantage of some of the features.

Here are some of the features within the BlackBerryGuy application:

Sign Up For A Clinic

You have the ability to sign up for a clinic straight through your device. And for those of you who are not local and able to come to a clinic in Nashville, never you fear. We also have Web Seminars!

Help Desk
Ever wished you had your own xxx8220;BlackBerry guruxxx8221; that you could contact with just the click of a button? Then you are in luck. When using the Help Desk, your question is immediately submitted to our Support Department so that we can get the issue resolved for you quickly!

Tip Of The Week

Every week a new xxx8220;tip and trickxxx8221; will appear, possibly teaching you something new that you didnxxx8217;t know your BlackBerry could do!

Sign Up For A Membership
Like what you see? Ready to get started? You can sign up for a membership right from your device without having to spend time on a phone call (unless you want to hear our voice) or having to find a computer!

Productivity Suite

The Productivity Suite is where all of the following application download links are located:
Beyond411 (Formerly Berry411)
BlackBerry.com WAP site (quick launch)
EOffice*
BBWeather
Opera Mini
DocHawk*
Google Maps
BBToday
BBLight
BBMessenger

*Denotes a pay for download application.

Once you have downloaded the above applications onto your device, you can access them directly from the Productivity Suite, which means you can hide all of those icons on your homescreen and keep it a little "cleaner".

AskMeNow
We have formed a partnership with AskMeNow, and this means good news for members of the BlackBerryGuy! No monthly recurring fees!

If you are a member of the BlackBerryGuy, you will be supplied with a promo code for AskMeNow that gives you free unlimited access to AskMeNow!

If you are already a member of TheBlackBerryGuy, then send us an email at [email address] for your promo code (Please include your BlackBerryGuy membership number when emailing).

OTA Download Link:
As of right now I am unable to post links as I don't have 10 posts yet.

The OTA link is:(http) link.metova.com/operations/bb_guy.xjad

If you go to Blackberryguy (dot) com and click on "download BlackBerryGuy" from the main page, then we can send you the email link.

Or if a mod would be kind enough to edit this and post the OTA link, I would be grateful.

FEEDBACK

We are always interested in feedback and questions, so please, don't hesitate to contact us if you have either.

Since this is a beta test, there may be problems that arise, however, we don't anticipate many (if any) to arise.

Please feel free to use this thread to post comments, questions, ideas, issues, etc to help us make this application the best that it can be!

Under the productivity suite, since you posted here on these forums then you should also have:

BlackBerryForums.com WAP site (quick launch)

My $0.02 USD.

Actually, that is on the drawing board for the next version.

Do you know who I would contact here to see if they have an icon you all would like for us to use?

You would PM 'Guess' (the owner & operator) I think first and foremost, but if he doesn't get back to you within time (he's a busy guy sometimes I guess) then try PM'ing 'BBAdmin' or one of the other super moderators of the site, they have Guess' ear.

Some users have reported a challenge when they have tried to use the AskMeNow program...We are in the process of getting this fixed and figuring out what the issue is.

For the meantime, I am attaching the ZIP file of the most recent version. It will have to be loaded through Desktop Manager.

As soon as the OTA issue is fixed, I will post and let you all know.

Thanks!

:::EDIT:::

Actually, the zip is just a little too large to upload here. So if you need this, PM me or email [email address] and I will get it right over to you.
