I went to mini.opera.com from my BB browser, clicked on "Download Opera Mini (US English) and I get the download screen. Clicked "Download" and it pulled it down and installed.

Are you saying that when you click on "Download Opera Mini" from your BB browser that you're it's asking you brand / model questions?

I just now did it, no problem. "This application was successfully installed."

www.operamini.com

Do this FROM your WAP browser.

I did notice I had a problem trying to download Opera mini because I had my blackberry browser set up to Emulation Mode as Microsoft IE. I changed it to blackberry or Openwave (WPA) and I was then able to download it.

I just tried to download opera on my phone and it was saying that "its trying to make a connection inside and outside of my firewall" and when it finished running tests it said failed download. What's going on with my phone ?
