Default has anyone tried Maufait Find !t?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,
We have developed a free blackberry application that offers 411 /local/yellow pages search, weather, stock quotes, movie showtimes. We are also adding Flight Status, News and Book review. Maufait saves all previous locations so you don't have to type it in everytime.

The program and service is free. We developed it because we could not find what we wanted in the applications available now. Either they were too cumbersome to use or we had to download multiple application for each feature or it will not be compatible with all devices. So we took a midlet-web model for compatability and usability.

The idea is to have all the basic key information available from one download and not multiple. Since its a midlet-web model, anytime a new service is added you don't have to download again.

What's the harm in trying its free, try it. . Drop a note if like it or you don't like it. We need feedback so we can improve the product.

I just tried. However, what the city shows in the weather page does not match of what my zip code is (92610).

Additionally, I would expect it more like an app in my BB rather than an icon to redirect link through the BB browser.

Hi rperalta,
I believe you are talking about the driving direction feature. Well ,we ran into some issues with this feature and we had to take it out for time being but we working hard to fix it. This feature will be available by monday morning. The driving direction link will appear in the yellow pages result set.

Thank you for input.

Default thanks for using maufait and your feedback

Hi plchan
Firstly, i would like to thank your for trying maufait.

I just tried. However, what the city shows in the weather page does not match of what my zip code is (92610).
We offer weather service through MSN.

I just checked zip : 92610 for weather it shows Foothill Ranch california in weather.com and Silverado, california in MSN. Which one is the right city?

I will see how to fix that.

Additionally, I would expect it more like an app in my BB rather than an icon to redirect link through the BB browser.

I really appreciate the feedback. Initially we did try to offer all that in a just a midlet, but when we encountered some problems with compatability with multiple devices, different user interfaces for devices and the burden on users to upgrade/redownload for every small feature update, we dcided to use the midlet-to-web model. We thought that users will apreciate in the long run.

When we add new services, it will be readily available without having to download again. Consitant navigation accross all devices and with the future possibility of giving the users an additional web interface on maufait.com to customize their account on a big screen.

I commute everyday on different freeways in the Bay Area (San Francisco). Is there a way to add this feature in the future?

Thanks,

Robert

Hi rperalta

I commute everyday on different freeways in the Bay Area (San Francisco). Is there a way to add this feature in the future?

Thanks for using maufait. We are working on that feature, i hear your need and i can connect with it as i commute a lot.
We had to take that feature offline because we were encountering some errors. We don't want our users to get stuck in a traffic jam because of maufait

We will make that live soon. We are also adding driving directions to our yellow pages section, so when you serach for a business you can quickly click a link and get directions.

I will pm notify you as soon as its live.

So far how do you like maufait?

Default Get 411/local search, stock quotes, weather, news, book review on your mobile

To all maufait users,

WE JUST FIXED THE PROBLEM

Sorry for the inconvenience if you encountered a problem of "Maufait not launching after the profile form was filled out"

We just found that when downloading via Opera browser, the script was pushing the non blackberry version of maufait. It did the same in some instances as well. That could have caused the problem. We have now listed blackberry and non blackberry versions on the download page. So users can pick the download.

Thanks for understanding

Please let me know how it goes
