Default web2mail - browse web over email - 05-04-2005, 09:22 PM

hi all

this is my first post and i would like to say hello to this great forum

is anyone using web2mail ?

available from http://web2mail.sourceforge.net/

i am having troubles with it: error inside exim_mainlog:
SMTP call from (localhost.localdomain) [127.0.0.1] dropped: too many syntax or protocol errors (last command was "Subject: file:/home/user/web2mail/db/error.html"

tried hours to get it working but i was not able

the script it nice i think and best is: browse the web for "free"

maybe someone is also interested in this script and like to try it out ?

greetz from austria

the reason i would like to use it is that if i surf websites with the browser i have to pay for extra traffic - email is free and unlimited in numbers of messages and traffic

i am from austria - i dont know how other countries handle with that ?

anyone interested in this ? i am running a dedicated server ....

well i go it half way working now - forward is working but the script needs to be changed in order to get it up and working correctly

Error from logfile:
ERROR: User: [email address], Requested:

the request is not correctly read by the script - everything else works

- do you or anyone else interested have expirience with perl and bash scripting ?

would be great
