This post is mainly for beta testers but I thought it wouldn't hurt to put it out in the open just to let everyone know how much I appreciate beta testers spending their time working with my product and to show the effect it has on my development.

Due to the feedback I've received so far, I'm going to endeavour to get the following fixes/enhancements in the final release:

* Pressing <Space> will now scroll down (ALT+<Space> will scroll up)
* Ability to change font type + size + color
* Improvements to email loading speed
* Add a help menu option to the test connection screen
* Allow changing background colour for different email addresses (each unique email address you receive mail for will now show with its own customizable pleasant background color - I'll try to make this as automatic as possible)
*Option to show full link in email

There is more of course...but this is just a short list If I didn't mention your suggestion here, don't be disheartened - it's very likely I'll do it I just couldn't think of it off the top of my head.

Cheers,
eZainny.

This program looks awesome.
I hate reading emails on my BB. Everything is so cluttered and it hurts my eyes and head to sort through it.
Wish I could have gotten on the Beta list. :(
I can't wait to see this product have a trial available.

Beta Testers:

Be forthcoming with your Feedback to eZainny so that the BETA progresses to a RELEASE for the rest of us!

Hi aToolCrib,

Yeah, the beta testers have been very good so far. As I mentioned above, based on their feedback I've already made a number of improvements.

At the moment we are in discussion with a couple of content providers (MobiHand, to name one) - and are hoping that you will see this out on the market before the end of this month.

Regards,
eZainny.

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.7196/1690; en; U; ssr))

As one of the testers, let me tell you that this app is INCREDIBLE!!!

It's everything that he says and more. The screen shots don't do it justice.

The app is a breath of fresh air to the Blackberry User Interface.

The feedback has been flowing, and the developer has been very quick in his response to the suggestions/comments. I am waiting on the next Beta Release.

I hope that BlackBerrySmart will take a look at becoming a PIM Enhancement software vendor also. This is an area where the Blackberry UI is severely lacking when you compare it to Palm and Windows Mobile.

Thanks,

Mark

Anyway, let's bring this thread back on topic Ladies and Gentlemen. I have some exciting news for beta testers too. The new version will be available very very soon!

Some exciting news for non-beta testers too! This product will be out real soon on the market. I'll keep you all informed.

Just installed the new beta on a Verizon 7130e and all I can say is wow. It is now my default email viewer and the functionality is great.

The use of the 2 key and the 8 key are not available for many BES users such as myself who's BES admins block Keystroke Injection. This is a major problem with Bluetooth Keyboards as well. Any other ways around this?

I actually sent him an email about the 2 key and 8 key, its not functioning properly, at least on suretype. On my pearl its doing Home(top)/End (bottom) instead of line up/line down. Space bar is doing Line Down instead of page down.

Just looks like he needs some small tweaks. Good work so far thou!

Hi Guys,

I need your help

Can you confirm that the following shortcuts would be desirable:

On SureType devices
----------------------
Space Bar - Page Down
ALT+Space Bar - Page Up

2 - Line Up
8 - Line Down

3 - Page Up
9 - Page Down

On Non-SureType devices
---------------------------
Space Bar - Page Down
ALT+Space Bar - Page Up

Do non-suretype devices have any other keyboard shortcuts for navigating email? On my device (8700g) I can't find any others.

Thanks!
eZainny.

Does this make a new icon on the home screen that you use to get email or does it use the existing messages icon?

It's integrated into the mail application. You can change the settings for it there. Its a pretty good app.

Feedback sent.

However, the page-up and page-down don't seem working like going a page up and going a page down. I tested a email with few pages content. However, the page-down and page-up feature seem going to the "next link", rather than then "next page".

Now I want it even more. This viral marketing is killing me. The developer(s) of this product better not be sleeping until this app is out.

Thanks!
eZainny.
On my Pearl its not ALT(v^), its SHIFT(#) + Space for page up. Unless I'm crazy. Otherwise the rest are correct.

and If it's along the same lines, these #'s do this
1 - Top of email/list
7 - Bottom of email/list

Hmm...That might be possible Cliff, I'll look into it. Good news for everyone else too - all your shorcuts are in

I've got a couple more things to add and some other things to do first but another beta version will be up later tonight (Aus time) for you to play with.

As always, I'll PM beta testers when it is up.

Cheers,
eZainny.

I don't think eZainy sleeps. I've been seeing posts/pm's from him at some odd hours.

I PM'd him the same thing. It looks like (from his post) that he may have built it in to the app itself.

DO you have an ETA for us non-beta users? I know there are many of us that would love this program but missed the beta by hours (or in my case, minutes). What's the date already!?

How about "T" for go to the top of the e-mail.

On the 8300 it is "Shift" ( bottom left key) + Space Bar for page up not alt+ space bar
