Ani,
Could you let use know when the final shipment of licenses has gone out? I have yet to receive mine but registered many times with the website to be sure.
Thanks,

david, We started with the first batch of 500 people yesterday just to be sure that license generation goes fine. We are sending app. 100 emails an hour, so you see - the whole process will take "some" time ! Since u have registered you will be receiving one in the process.

Tag Line Spam -
07-10-2007, 11:18 AM
Well, I was liking this application however I have removed it now. The 2.0 upgrade started adding SPAM to the end of the messages I sent.
1. Empower has nothing to do with sending messages, so this statement is false.
2. I was not notified in any way it was going to do this.
3. There is no option to remove it.
I am sure after a license key is entered, maybe you can remove this. If not, then that is an even more serious issue.
Other than that, great program, keep up the good work, just remove the spam.

I saw that too, however if you go to advanced options and uncheck "Append Signature" it goes away.

Go to Advanced Options within the initial Empower options screen and uncheck "append signature"
This option was/is available in both the trial and full versions.

George - you don't even need a license to remove it. Just browser to Empower Options > Advanced Options and Uncheck 'Append Signature'.
Its actually a precursor to an upcoming feature in our next release. Also, we believe its on the same lines as Sent via T-Mobile, Sent via BlackBerry, and can be removed even in non-registered version as explained above.
Thanks.
Ani.

You don't need to register to switch off the SIGNATURE.
Goto menuitem "Empower Options" > "Advanced Options" > "Append Signature"
And uncheck it. Thats it!

You should've done a better job reading the release announcement.

If I toggle to text, I get,

If I press the menu button on the From: Person B link I get,
Email Person B

Thanks David for reporting this one. It was fixed in the previous release. We will investigate how its crept back again.

I put in my info when I tried out version .7 so will I still get the free license? I have not got any updates since the one that updated me to .7 from .35. I just downloaded the trial to see the newer look and features.

Has anyone received an email about downloading a keygen to get their license? How easy is the program to remove once it has given you the license?

Yes - that was how I got my license. You install the keygen from an OTA link, then run the keygen (it takes two codes which are in the email) and then it generates a unique key based on the device PIN.
After running the keygen, delete it (Options, Advanced options, Applications) - easy.
Worked perfectly for me.

I got mine this morning also. The application is probably the #1 application on my blackberry now. I've changed all my settings on system emails, bank emails all to go to HTML code instead of TEXT ONLY.

Thanks for the response. I just thought the whole 'keygen' thing was a bit weird but if everything is a-ok, I'll install the latest version and get my license

I noticed a lot of people with less than 10 posts asking this. Ani has answered the question many times in this thread. Just give it a quick skim and you will find the answers.
Emails are starting to go out in the order you signed up if you were one of the first 10,000. Chill out and be patient, it will be coming if you entered your name/email when you download.

I got my license today and installed it, worked fine. Only problem is no matter what I do I still can not view pictures in my email. Am using a 7105t anyone else plz lemme know if you're having this problem. I was able to view pics from .35 and not .7 but when 1.0 came out it was fixed until something happened and I couldn't view pics again.
I went to my security options and edited all the permissions to allow everything for empower, and still nothing.
help plz

Support for images attchached in e-mail? -
07-12-2007, 08:33 AM
Got the viewer to work after re-installing input support.
Is is possible to provide support for images attached in an HTML e-mail (or am I missing a setting)? They don't seem to load in the viewer.

Hmmm Sneaky Ani!
Not a fan of the "sent from Empower HTML Mail Viewer"...though you can turn that option off! You must have gotten some pressure from your now sponsors to do that
Anyways, this is a great program. Best of luck with any new ones. This has been a fantastic beta/release!

i've had the same problem and read that if you go to advanced options -> tcp and type in wap.voicestream.com in the APN and keep username and password blank, it may work.
but i personally don't show the images anyway
hope this works for you.

yea i've had that in there, no luck...unfortunately it worked for a good few hours with 1.0 but something happened it may have been a conflict with follow up or my calendar but when those went off for reminders i dont get little windows anymore...but my status led keeps flashing like there is one but its just hidden, and POOF no more pictures...i have a feeling it is some cross software comflict...
just a hunch

Hi Ani I just noticed something rather funny today when getting my AA flight notification using Empower it turned this line:
Arriving: Burbank, CA
Departure Time: 6:55 PM Gate Now:D38
The ":D38" into a Smiley icon 38 :D 38
Not a bug but it goes to show what direct interpratation does to emails
