Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Thanks for the update Ani looking forward to the updated release and yes I'm on BES so that may be part of the problem with the refresh of images not loading after first read.

The issue is not that you expressed your opinion, it's the way it was expressed. An accusatory tone of shady business practices will not go over well, especially if you've been following the release of this product from the beginning like a lot of us have. If his product was sending data about you or your device somewhere or caused pop-ups on your emails I would understand your anger. I see advertisments at the end of emails from Yahoo, Hotmail, and AOL that for all I know you can't turn off.

The final product was shaped from users giving Ani their opinions. I hope you try it again (with the attachment turned off) and let him know what you think should be made better. I know he'll listen.

Empower just formats the email as it was downloaded by the BlackBerry. There is nothing extra downloaded (with the exception of images if you are so inclined).

Hello Ani,

does the license transferable?
for instance if I in future time switch my curve to newer device, will the license transferable (if i'm not mistaking emv license tied to PIN)

Everything is great. And I can hide the auto signature.

After that, I like it so much...

Thanks!

I like it. It seems to work with the occasional HTML emails I get. But I have a question.

If I use the options and set it to "none" for default messages, does that turn off Empower unless I specifically request to look at an email in HTML? Considering that 95% of my emails are in text, most of which need to be answered in one form or another, I don't want a piece of software that can cause problems in the background.

Nice job with this plug-in. So far, so good.

Still happening. Anyone else having this problem?

Weird.
I am also having this problem (Verizon BB8830). Running Empower v 2.0.42.7. I can only open attachments by switching to text mode.

Default Awesome Program - 08-08-2007, 02:01 AM

ANi I purchased this from Handango for $10 what a bargain.

Only suggestion is the signature file. You have so you can turn it off which is nice because it only has your signature. If you allowed the user to add thier own signature then yours as and addon would be sent more often I think

ANyhow this is an awsome program

I have used it for a couple of days with now with my curve and no errors

Ani,

I think you also said other new functionality was coming such as create a task or appointment as a follow-up which would include the email text in the note/memo field.

Is that still in the works?

Hi ani,

Great app, being using it for almost a month now and love it, I just upgraded to v2, great work.

I have a suggestion for the short header:

It would be nice if we could also see to which email account it was sent to and maybe having the date field as well.

My problem is that I have 8 email accounts:

2 for work
3 for my personal business
3 for personal use

So when I use the full header option and receive an email from work, the header is very long because 95% of the email are sent to about 8 to 12 people.

So if the short header could show something like this:

Using: email account name
Date: Wed, Aug 8, 2007 time
From: received from
Subject: title

Just a suggestion on my part, it would make my life easier

I just notice that Empower shows the time that the email was received on the Blackberry, but not the actual time it was sent, if I toggle HTML/Text, when I put the email in text mode, it shows the time the email was sent. Is there a way to fix that?

I actually have switched devices and would like to know if the license is transferrable... the license does seem tied to the PIN.

Yes, the license is PIN dependent. Pls write to support at mobylo.com with your old PIN, and new PIN. They will resolve your issue.

i believed it has to do with image displayed, if image not displayed correctly, you can tick the force tcp/ip option , but it used your operator apn , not bis apn ..
so you must insert your tcp option on setting

Tony,

As of now we don't have any plans to implement task-managment functionality in Empower Mail Viewer. Basically because,

1. We believe its better for one product to do just one thing. A task-management app needs to be a separate product than a mail viewer. This allows the independent app to do 'more' and not be confined by the first product. In fact, thats why we made InstaSpell a separate app - had we tied it with EMV we would have been restricted to emails only, and not been able to do things like spell check in SMS etc, coloring etc. An independent product is independent and has the freedom to grow its future course without being subject to boundaries of a dependent app.

2. I also believe that ultimately, users must have a choice - even if we create a task mgmt app, it should not be tied with EMV, because a user of EMV should have the choice to use competing task management apps from other vendors. We want to ensure that people using other competitive products are not denied the opportunity to use them.

Also, at the moment, we don't have any plans for making a task-management application. We will recommend you to Trial run any of the existing task-mgmt apps (PocketDay, Follow-Up, TodoMatrix, NextAction etc). Depending upon your needs you may find the one best suited for you.

Thanks
Ani.

Default Empower With Pocket day - 09-12-2007, 04:54 AM

Empower works fine on my emails, but if I want to view my new email while in pocket day, it does not use empower as the default viewer.

Am I missing something? Empower is set to handle all.
